Books I have just purchased

Posted on: 1/24/2005

A new bookstore Soo Yoo opened their branch here not too long ago. It mainly sell books published from Mainland China, but if you look carefully then there are also books from Taiwan and Hong Kong as well. Although their books are not classfied well, ha ! luckly me, I found these two patchwork books. One thing I really want to mention is the price of the books i.e. they sell them only base on the published book price and then exchange to US dollars. It's a bargain here already. These two books only teach some simple patchwork projects suitable for beginners and I know I have master the basic skill, but I really just couldn't resist to this bargain price then I bought them.

With regard to shopping, my husband even worser than me. The bookstore also carry some traditional China pot for planting, he bought 2 sets (10 pieces of big and small) of it in a roll. I would say sometimes when man goes shopping even crazier than woman though !!

P.S. These are the China planting pot that my husband has bought. We went to another shop that specialised in selling these things found out that the price was actually doubled !

About me
In year 2001, I discovered that
there was a quilting TV Show
called "Simply Quilt" in HGTV
channel that inspired me to start
quilting.
It was not so easy in the process
of self learning but later I
discovered a magazine called
"Quiltmaker" which has a lot of
patterns that I can use from it.
At the year end of 2003, I
started to self-learning Chinese
typing then I discovered from
the internet that there was a
Taiwan quilting group called
"Happy Quilting Group" which
was organized by a lady
named May.
After joining the group then I
have made some small projects
i.e. cup, doll and tool bag etc.
